London-based, Brendan was born in County Down but brought up near Dublin. Following a career in marketing and sales he turned to acting, moving to England to train at the Guildford School of Acting.
He made his English professional stage debut playing Manus in Brian Friel’s Translations at the Library Theatre. He went on to play Jake in Stones in his Pockets (The New Ambassadors Theatre, London & on tour throughout Ireland) and in 2005, understudied the parts of Eamon and Willie Diver in Aristocrats, at the National Theatre. Other stage work includes Israel Hands / Black Dog in Birmingham Stage Company’s Treasure Island (Birmingham Old Rep & UK No. 1 tour), as James in the critically acclaimed Stockwell - The inquest into the death of Jean Charles de Menezes at the Tricycle Theatre, London and Mick Connor in last year's Comedians at the Bolton Octagon theatre. On TV, he appears in BBC’s upcoming Autumn drama White Heat and has done several commercials and corporate work, as well as work for the BBC’s internet service.
