A beautiful melodic, expressive Glaswegian voice.
After winning a scholarship to the Sylvia Young Theatre school at the age of 13, Iain has worked extensively in Theatre, Film, Television & radio ever since. Following his BAFTA winning performance in Small Faces, Barry Norman described him “as the best thing to come out of Scotland since whisky”.
His theatre credits include, The Mysteries for Bill Bryden & The Winters Tale for Nicholas Hytner, both at The Royal National Theatre. He also won an Ian Charleson Award for his Trinculo in Michael Grandage’s production of The Tempest.
Iain is best remembered for The Debt Collector with Billy Connolly and BBC Scotland’s prime time drama, Sea Of Souls, in which he played Craig Stevenson for two series. Most recently he has appeared up in The Contractor, starring Wesley Snipes & the big screen sequel, Basic Instinct II
