Natty Sobhee is an experienced, professional and trusted talent. In early 2000 he set up
Defcon Records & Workshops, where he works with some of the most talented artists from
around the world. His album 'About Time' has sold copies in over 52 countries worldwide and
was used in C4’s 'Gumball Rally' and was the soundtrack to Extreme Sports cult TV show
'Street-Ball Extreme” where Natty presented the show and curated the soundtrack. Natty has
also supplied music for Nike and Nokia campaigns and worked with Wise Buddah, providing
his voice for idents on some of the biggest radio stations around the world.
Natty has been part of several bands over the years, winning Radio 1’s Unsigned Act of the
Year in 2003 with Sweettoof and touring with Hip Hop collective The True Ingredients, as well
as his band Kaya (officialkaya.com) and his new hip hop project, The TimeBanditz
(timebanditz.co.uk)
Natty is also working on his new, exciting Spoken Word project “Natty Speaks”, where he will
be performing freestyles, using the content provided by his followers on Twitter, Facebook
and Tumblr. He tested this new project at this years Glastonbury Festival (2011) and at
Passing Clouds, receiving an amazing response and securing him with a booking for
Glastonbury 2013.
Natty has supported and shared the line up with Big Daddy Kane, Ugly Duckling, Bionic, Ed
Sheeran, Example, Har Mar Super Star. Athlete, Tim Westwood, Gentlemans Dub Club, Dan
Tsu, Foreign Beggars, Stig of the Dump, Dj Hype, Grooverider, Killa Kella, The True
Ingredients, Shlomo and many others. He has also released records with artists; Mr Thing,
Tommy Evans, Dark Circle, Juan Kidd, Parris and Vanucci, Braund Reynolds, The Arsonist,
VTS, Task Force, Skinny Man, The Magnet Men, True Ingredients, Blu Rum 13, Aina and a
whole lot more.
As well as all of this, Natty finds time to deliver workshops for The Princes Trust (where he
was made an Ambassador in 2005), The RoundHouse, Music4Children, Barnardos and local
City Councils across London and Kent.
He has toured extensively hitting countries such as Poland, Portugal, France, Germany,
Lithuania, Romania, Italy, Switzerland as well as Russia and Canada.
